Appliance Removal in Yuba City & the Yuba-Sutter Area
Serving Yuba, Sutter, Placer & Sacramento counties.
Appliances are heavy, bulky, and most curbside programs won't touch them. We haul away fridges, washers, dryers, and more — and dispose of them responsibly, including the refrigerant handling that fridges and AC units require.
What our appliance removal covers
- Refrigerators & freezers
- Washers & dryers
- Stoves, ovens & ranges
- Dishwashers
- Water heaters
- Window & wall AC units
Refrigerant-bearing units carry a small disposal fee so they're handled to code. Everything else gets recycled wherever possible. We disconnect, carry out, and clean up.
How appliance removal works with DKB
A dead fridge in the garage or an old washer left behind after an upgrade is one of the most common calls we get. Appliances are too heavy for most people to move safely and too big for the trash can, and anything with refrigerant in it can't legally be dumped as regular waste. We carry the unit out, load it, and take it where it can be processed properly.
Most appliances are largely steel, so the bulk of what we pick up gets recycled rather than landfilled. Refrigerators, freezers and AC units carry a small per-item fee that covers having the refrigerant recovered the right way. We tell you that fee up front, before any work starts, so the price you're quoted is the price you pay.
Appliance Removal FAQ
Will you take an old refrigerator or freezer?
Yes. Fridges and freezers carry a small refrigerant disposal fee per unit, which covers recovering the refrigerant as the law requires. We quote it up front along with the rest of the job.
Can you remove a water heater?
Yes, we haul away old tank water heaters. It helps to have the tank drained and the gas or power shut off before we arrive. If that isn't possible, tell us when you book and we'll plan around it.
Do you recycle the appliances you pick up?
Whenever we can. Most appliances are mostly metal and go to recycling, and working units in good shape can sometimes be donated.
